Research Paper: Scaling Out, Scaling Up, Scaling Deep Strategies of Non-profits in Advancing Systemic Social Innovation

This academic paper analyses six strategies for scaling social innovations. Introduces the concepts of scaling out, scaling up, and scaling deep. The paper refers to "niches" of innovation, which effectively translate to LLs contexts. Though fairly theoretical, the definitions and proposed strategies may be useful for LLs planning long-termer impact and putting a strategy in place for scaling. Tip: check out the visual on p.75 that defines the differences between "scaling up", "scaling out" and "scaling deep" or the table on p.77 which provides strategies for each scaling approach.
