Guidelines on best practice to limit, mitigate or compensate soil sealing

This is a publication by the European Commission from 2012. The objective of the report is to provide information on the magnitude of soil sealing in the European Union (EU), its impacts and examples of best practice. The report may be of interest to authorities in Member States, professionals dealing with land planning and soil management, as well as current or future LLs and LHs working in urban settings. The annexes contain definitions, an overview of EU policies and legislation and technical impacts of soil sealing. The report is available in multiple EU languages.
