A Soil Deal for Europe Mission: 2025 Funding Opportunities & Application Proposal Guidance

This webinar was designed to support applicants responding to the Mission Soil 2025 topics, the session featured representatives from DG AGRI and the European Research Executive Agency (REA), who introduced the Mission Soil initiative, outlined its vision and expected impacts, and present the upcoming funding opportunities for establishing Soil Health Living Labs (LLs). This was the first webinar of a series of sessions, and is dedicated to the Horizon Europe Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and took place on 18 June 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST. The session featured representatives from DG AGRI and the Research Executive Agency (REA), who introduced the Mission Soil initiative, outlined its vision and expected impacts, and presented the upcoming funding opportunities for establishing Soil Health Living Labs (LLs). Participants gained a clear understanding of the key elements needed to build a competitive proposal, with a particular focus on the 2025 call topics. Experts from SOILL provided step-by-step guidance on navigating the proposal template, explained the distinctions between the two-stage and full application processes, and shared practical tips to strengthen submissions while avoiding common pitfalls. In addition, the webinar highlighted the types of support available to applicants through SOILL to facilitate the proposal development process. The event included a live Q&A session. Participants were encouraged to submit their questions in advance via the webinar registration form so that speakers can address them during the event. Please note that questions regarding specific project applications were covered; for tailored support, attendees were advised to contact their national mentors.
